Nodoka: Hey, it's a lot better than my other job - I don't come home smelling like cheap beer and feeling like I need to take a shower with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

Azami: Relax, Alia, I know the photographer, he reminds me of Irving Klaw. It's all about the money.

*ding-dong*

Azami: Ah, must be Rena. Come on in! Door's open!

Rena: Hi guys, sorry I'm late. Had to stop at the store. I had a sudden craving for a yaki soba pan.


Azami: No problem, here, let me grab a chair for you and I'll move.

Chani: No sign of the Obitsu yet, Rena?

Rena: No! Kali finally heard back and it hadn't even been shipped yet! Man, if it's not the right color, after all this waiting, I'm going to be pissed!


Azami: It's worth the wait, trust me! No more creaky joints, and the ability to rotate your wrists! You'll love it.


Nodoka: Did you guys hear about the new girl living upstairs? I heard she's a Cornice.

Rena: Cool! Now I can see if I really look like I'm her sister now, like everyone says I do.

Azami: I sent an invite up there for her to come down, but she still might be adjusting...


*ding-dong*

Azami: Oh, that must be her!

Chani: *whipsers to Alia* Azami sent her an invitation?? Oh dear, did you hear about the new girl's wig??

*ding-dong*

Alia: *whispers* Yeah, I heard.

*ding-dong*

Everyone: COME IN!!
*silence*
*long dramatic pause*
*THUD*Azami: *sob* W.....wig!!! *gasp* Giant.....wig.........in my HOUUUUUSEEEEE!!!!!!!! *gasp*

Cornice wig: *silently stares at everyone*

Azami: *cough* RED! *cough cough* COUSIN IT!!!!!! *sob*



Nodoka: *tries to stifle laughing*

Chani: Azami! It's ok!

Alia: Az, you *really* need to get over your bald doll issues.

Azami: *sobcoughsob*


Azami: I'M NOT LOOKING!! I WILL NOT LOOK AT THE HUGE WIG IN MY HOUSE!!!


Cornice wig: *stares at Azami*

Author's notes:

OK, it was funny when we were shooting it at 1 am. ^_^ This was mostly a test of the flash system, which the Husband was happy with, but I still think it's a bit harsh in spots.

If you didn't catch it, you can see the wig in the window behind the couch. I was laughing so hard that I nearly knocked everyone over. O_o Like I said, it was 1 am, and after all, I grew up with re-runs of The Addams Family. So when I saw that wig, Cousin Itt was the only thing I could think of.

And in case you're not up on your bizarre Japanese foods, a yaki soba pan is a roll stuffed with pan fried soba noodles. Noodles inside of bread! That's Japanese food for you.
